Central Finance (cFIN)

Four SAP systems. Three ERP versions. Two charts of accounts. And a CFO who wants consolidated numbers in real time. Central Finance makes exactly that possible, without touching the source systems.

What Central Finance delivers

Central Finance (cFIN) replicates financial postings from multiple SAP and non-SAP systems into one central S/4HANA instance. Real time, via SAP Landscape Transformation (SLT). The central system runs ACDOCA, the Universal Journal. Reports that previously required weeks of consolidation are available immediately.

For corporations with a grown system landscape, cFIN is often the most pragmatic entry point into S/4HANA. No big bang, no brownfield risk. Operational systems keep running while financial data converges centrally.

cFIN as a bridge to full migration

Central Finance is rarely the end goal. It is a stepping stone. Companies use cFIN to benefit from S/4HANA reporting right away and prepare the full migration at their own pace. The advantage: you gain experience with New GL, ACDOCA, and the new data model before converting operational processes.

And AI? Central Finance creates a unified data pool, the prerequisite for enterprise-wide predictive analytics. Cash flow forecasts, anomaly detection in posting patterns, automated intercompany reconciliation. All use cases that only work with a single data model.
