Our day rates are in the standard range for specialized SAP FI/CO consulting. A pre-study or readiness check typically starts in the five-figure range. Full S/4HANA migration projects range from €250,000 to €1.2 million depending on complexity. We offer a free initial consultation for a realistic estimate.

Brownfield or greenfield: which fits better?

Brownfield is faster (6-12 months) and cheaper, but you migrate technical debt along with it. Greenfield is more expensive (12-24 months) but gives you a clean system. In about 40% of our projects we recommend the hybrid approach: keep master data, leave legacy behind. The decision depends on your system landscape, not on a philosophy.

How long does an S/4HANA migration take?

Plan for 3-6 months for the pre-study and 6-24 months for the actual migration, depending on path and complexity. Brownfield at the lower end, greenfield at the upper. Add a stabilization phase of 2-3 months after go-live.

What changes in FI/CO with S/4HANA?

Three fundamental changes: First, the ACDOCA table replaces over 20 separate FI and CO tables. Second, account-based and costing-based profitability analysis merge into one. Third, customers and vendors become Business Partners. These changes affect every accountant and every controller in your organization.

When does SAP ECC maintenance end?

Standard maintenance for SAP ECC 6.0 ends in 2027. Extended maintenance runs until 2030 at a 2% surcharge on license fees. After that: no patches, no security updates, no support. Companies starting in 2028 will reach go-live in 2030 at the earliest. Without buffer.
